Jul 27, 2004 09: 43 EST
Scoiattoli climbers Mario Dibona, Renato Sottsass, Marco Da Pozzo and Renzo Benedetti, along with Mingma Sherpa and Thilen Sherpa summited K2 this morning.
Andalucia K2 departed BC on Saturday, and last night reached C4.
Meanwhile, Al Filo de lo Imposible Spanish team are having troubles on their descent. As reported, Juan Oiarzabal is being helped down exhaused, while Edurne could be suffering from serious frostbite in her toes. They weren't able to reach C4 until midnight yesterday, helped by Juan Vallejo and the Italian team.
Three days after the Spanish and Italians left for high camps, a massive summit bid started on K2. During the weekend, as the advanced teams saw that the weather was settling, some other expedition climbed up after them.
